We are looking for experienced cooks at our family-owned neighborhood restaurant/bar. Availability that we are looking for is weekday and weekend nights as well as weekend days for brunch. Pay is negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to prepare and cook food according to health department and the Division of Food Services' standards; ability to follow health and safety standards and procedures; knowledge of kitchen equipment, ability to communicate with others, to use good judgment; to work independently and with others; to maintain clean and neat appearance; to maintain adequate attendance; to follow instructions; to attend training and meetings. Must have knife skills and food presentation/plating skills. Looking for someone that is hard-working, positive, reliable, creative and trustworthy.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for daily preparation and cooking of foods; maintain clean and organized work area; put received food orders away in an organized manner; maintain cleanliness of walk-in, dry storage, and prep areas; assist with end of shift clean up including floors, counters, trash, and card board; maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment; attend meetings and training.
