Sushi Den is looking for Full time/part time line cooks and dishwashers

LINE COOK:
Assures quality food products are prepared and made to the specifications of the kitchen chef or executiver chef with sanitary food handling practices at all times.
Maintains and supports a positive, collaborative culture within the organization as a whole, fully embracing the culture and value statements espoused by Hiro & CO.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with quest and coworkers.
Arrives daily per published and posted scheduled on respective workdays and ready to work with proper attitude and uniform.
Coordinate and works under direction of the chef/supervisor and communicates daily.
Responsible for maintaining station prep and cleanliness in all kitchen operations.
Ensures all kitchen area and equipment are kept clean and maintained.
Assures safe food handling and food preparation.
Ensures all daily checklists are fully completed and communicated to chef/supervisor staff including opening,mid shift, and closing responsibilities.
Assure that all products are cooked correctly per specification before being presented to guest.
Adheres to all policies and procedures if the restaurant per employee handbook and posted policies and procedures.
Able to be flexible with schedule and work weekends and holidays.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED- required

EXPERIENCE:
Knife skills preferred
1-4 year kitchen experience strongly preferred

DISHWASHERS:
Collect used kitchenware from kitchen, kitchen areas and sushi bar.
Load and unload dish washing machines
Wash specific items by hand(ex: large pots, delicate china ware)
store clean dishes and kitchen equipment properly
setup work station before food prep and restaurant operations starts.
Ensure that there are always enough clean dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment(ex:pans utensils) during peak hours.
Maintain clean and sanitize work area.
Maintain cleaning supplies(ex:detergents) and notify supervisor when low.
Check dishwashing machine operation and promptly report ant technical/performance issues to supervisor
Remove garbage regularly during shift
Sanitize kitchen area and floor
Able to follow instructions and help with various task as needed.
Able to be flexible with schedule and able to work weekends and holidays

EXPERIENCE:
Hands-on experience with industrial dishwashers a plus but not required
Time management skills
