Increasing Access to the Hard-to-Reach and Underserved Communities

HUD's Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Extension Service's Healthy Homes Partnership invite you to join the bilingual webinar "Increasing Access to the Hard-to-Reach and Underserved Communities Using the Promotor and Faith-Based Outreach Model".

Targeting underserved communities can be challenging for even the largest and best funded institutions. Centro de Apoyo Familiar (CAF) will share insights on delivering information to communities challenged by the lack of trust in governments and other institutions, language barriers, and other divides. These concerns can exacerbate disparities and racial inequities, regarding public environmental justice and affordable housing issues.

Potential Attendees include: HUD's OLHCHH grantees (staff in the housing, environmental planning, and health-related units of state, county, and municipal levels of government across the nation); HUD and other Federal government staff, including regional; members of non-profits and community/faith-based organizations; university healthy homes educators; community health workers; communications/marketing professionals; others.
