Analytical Laboratory Technician

Aurum Laboratories LLC has an immediate opening for a full-time entry-level Laboratory Technician. The ideal candidate must be a quick learner and capable of working in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.

Education and Work Experience Requirements -

To be considered candidates must hold (or be working toward) a Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences (Chemistry or Microbiology preferred). Previous experience in a regulated lab environment preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills and Techniques –
General lab experience in proper analytical techniques such as pipetting and weighing.
Experience with various microbiological techniques such as aseptic technique, media prep, and plating preferred but not required.
Must be professional and ethical in all activities and relations.
Must demonstrate through example and maintain a positive attitude.
Maintain an environment of respect and teamwork with all coworkers.
Capable of working both independently and as a team member.
Ability to work and communicate well with personnel in different departments and at various levels of responsibility.
Possess foresight to see a task that needs performing and performs the trained task without the request of management.

Responsibilities of the Lab Technician -

Provide testing and support in the Analytical Laboratory.
These functions include:
Sample processing, preparation, and extraction
Sample waste disposal
General lab cleaning
Analytical scale maintenance and calibration
Media and solvent prep
Performs other related duties as required.

Other Considerations:
To be considered for this position, candidates must NOT have a drug-related felony within the last 10 years and must be 21 years or older to obtain a Marijuana Enforcement Division occupational badge. Candidates MUST meet the education and work experience requirements.
