Small criminal defense firm seeks PT assistant (Uptown)

Small criminal defense law firm in Denver seeks friendly and smart assistant. Duties and skills include helping frustrated people on the phone; picking up discovery from nearby DA's office; carrying out administrative duties that include Word and Excel documents and a lot of typing and reading; tracking appointments, deadlines, and court dates and keeping a couple of busy attorneys pointed in the right direction; thinking for yourself and being able to stay on top of many files, at once. The right person will be organized and honest, have good communication skills, and value the idea that every person accused of a crime receive a zealous defense on their behalf.

We need someone who won't spend most of their time reading Reddit at their desk. The position is part-time—20 hours a week and can be flexible for the right person, though the bulk of hours need to be worked during business hours.

Hourly wage will depend on skills and experience, but won't start below $18.00. Only appropriate resumes with cover letters will be considered. Spanish speakers, strongly encouraged.
