Denver International Airport (DEN), Technologies Division is seeking three summer interns. The duration of each internship is from June 1st through August 12th, 2016 and the interns will work between 24 - 39 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

IT Technologies Asset Management (TAM) Internship:
Pick-up and Delivery of hardware equipment: Handling of equipment/ hardware and other physical assets: such as desktops, laptops, disc drives, monitors, and other technology products. This materials handling involves picking up this equipment at the DEN Materials Management Warehouse and/or the WorldPort building, transporting equipment from those locations to various storage and/or customer and customer project locations and sites throughout the DEN Campus.
Perform PC/Desk Top physical inventories: With the direction from a TAM team member, this intern will help perform the annually required desk top physical inventory for DEN. There are over 2,000 PCs that need to be physically located, serial numbers and other data collected on each one, and data entry of all needed information will be done.
Service Request (SR) Ticket handling: Service Requests and Tasks – as a member of the Asset Management team (TAM), this intern will receive a daily assignment of ''tickets" from the ServiceNow ticketing system called AskIT. Tickets include Service Requests such as: requests for quotes, recommendations for hardware/software. The position will also receive Tasks (a single action related to an automated workflow for a multi-step Service Request). SRs are for services such as removal of equipment related to employee off-boarding. require in-depth research
eWaste Handling: IT Project Management Internship: Although eWaste handling is triggered by an SR in the AskIT application as detailed in the function above, due to the specialty nature of eWaste and the large volume, it is listed separately in this job description. The handling of equipment that is being removed or "surplused" from DEN is very specifically detailed in our procedures. DEN is a very clean, and environmentally safe airport and the proper disposal of equipment such as PCs is very important. We work with an approved vendor to arrange eWaste pick-ups throughout the year, and TAM does all of the preparation work and equipment handling of all of the items that have been submitted in AskIT for our process of eWaste to trigger.
IT Project Management Internship: The Technologies Project Management Office (PMO) currently is managing 64 projects related to all aspects of airport operations. This position would be paired with the staff in the PMO to assist with a wide variety of Project Management related duties to support delivery of the technology projects including hardware, software, network, infrastructure, phone and radio.
The position would also support the PMO manager with reporting, unit metrics, and process improvements.
Reviewing project status and updating metrics.
Reviewing templates and process documentation for needed updates.
Scheduling and documenting project meetings.
Assist with project documentation including requirements, process flows, and test cases.
Assist with project tasks and follow-up.

IT Service Desk Internship:
The Technologies Division of the City and County of Denver's Department of Aviation's intern will gain experience maintaining and troubleshooting numerous mission-critical systems across the Airport. The intern will gain experience in the following:
Windows 7 Operating Systems
Basic OS security
Basic OS file structure
Basic OS Registry
Microsoft Office Suites
Internet Explorer
Basic Active Directory tasks including account creation and modification, remote desktop,
Basic LAN/WAN, wired and wireless,
Basic application installation tasks and concepts
Conference room/media/event support
Client desktop hardware/software/peripherals
Desktop moves/adds/changes
In a Service Desk call center environment, answers inbound calls from customers requesting technical support
Qualifications
Required Education: Must be a current student enrolled in an academic program and having completed two years (or 60+ credits) leading to a degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or directly related field.

Driving: This position requires a valid driver's license.
