Position Description Overview

Picks up, sorts, distributes and routes incoming and outgoing mail as instructed. Handles outgoing mail and prepares mail for outside pick-up. Maintains records of postage expenditures and costs.

May operate mailroom equipment including inserters, slitters, calculator and postage meters. Makes decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing and scheduling of work. May have access to confidential information. Handles repetitive and routine tasks following detailed instructions, referring more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision. Typically requires less than 12 months mail room or equivalent experience. Effective communication and interpersonal skills required. Some knowledge of postal regulations required.


Job Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of data entry, verification and related duties for processing of disputes, fraud, chargebacks, exceptions and/or other associated transactions . Monitors, verifies, and edits data during input process. May monitor systems to detect possible fraudulent behavior related to credit card useage and contact card holders to investigate possible fraud.

Handles routine and non-routine tasks with standard procedures, referring most complex issues to higher levels. Works under moderate supervision.
