Specialized Experience for GS-5:
Candidates must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: Performs administrative support duties, handles data, equipment, personnel and the scheduling of providers and patients; Orients personnel with numerous human resource item of information such as benefits and leave, Fed Traveler, compensation, workplace rights; inputs and retrieves data; contacts patients to obtain necessary information; uses Government Purchase Card.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Successful completion of four (4) years of education above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.(TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience a may be used to meet total experience requirements. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, but a great deal of walking to all parts of the Medical Center is required since the incumbent will be working with a variety of clinical and administrative services.
