Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other

related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology

Applicants applying for this position must meet time-in-grade and qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the vacancy announcement to be eligible for consideration for selection. Time-in-Grade Requirement: FOR GS-07 and above; Applicants must have served at least one (1) year at the next lower grade level in the Federal service. FOR GS-07: One (1) full year of graduate level education; OR superior academic achievement; OR One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. FOR GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. FOR GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related; OR One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.

Your evaluation may also include a review by an HR Specialist or panel and may include other assessment tools (ex. interview, structured interview, written test, work sample, etc).
