Aerotek is looking for a Hardware Engineer or Electrical Engineer to support its team in Jamestown, North Dakota. This location designs and manufactures safety and cargo systems for aircraft. This person

will be working on a team that designs and creates the hardware and software that interacts with the mechanical and other systems. This position can be a long term contract or contract to hire depending on candidate's preference.

Some of the tasks would involve

  • Aviation System (DO-254)
  • Requirements Decomposition
  • Verification Analysis (DFMEA)

The system is composed of the following:

  • Freescale Processor
  • BITE Functionality
  • ARINC 664 Functionality
  • Embedded C software
  • Application Code
  • Boot Code (drivers, APIs, etc. )
  • Circuit Board Design
  • Component Selection
  • Functionality verification (PSPICE)
  • Schematic Layout (Cadence)

This person will lead in generating required process documentation including requirements specifications, design details, test procedures, and reports.

Will also lead in the design and development of Embedded systems circuitry and printed circuit assemblies. Designs will be to Aerospace and FAA regulations.

This person will also prepare and review drawings and layouts for the complex production parts, components, and test equipment. Will need to create any necessary test software and the associated SW compliance documentation.

Requirements:

  • Top three must haves are hardware engineering, C programing, and Allegro or Orcad design software.
  • Need candidates that have experience taking products from design to end of cycle.
  • Bachelors in Engineering required
  • BSEE preferred
  • Aerospace/aviation experience preferred but not required
