Position Overview:
Eldorado Climbing Walls' Steel Shop Foreman leads and manages a team of 3 - 6 crew members in the steel production of custom climbing walls. In addition to managing the steel production of 1 - 3 climbing walls simultaneously, the Steel Shop Foreman will also manage the steel warehouse including materials inventory and management, equipment and tool inventory and maintenance, and packing of custom climbing wall projects. Knowledge of basic construction methodologies and knowledge of steel cutting, welding, blueprint reading, and fasteners are integral to this position.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain awareness of company objectives and evaluates what actions our steel shop operations should take to meet those objectives
• Completes steel takeoff and ordering for custom projects
• Manage all day to day steel production/fabrication operations
• Assign daily tasks to steel fabricators and manages workflow
• Train all steel shop staff in the proper fabrication methods and use of tools and equipment
• Participate in project management department meetings for each job as needed
• Design and implement quality control procedures for all aspects of steel production
• Manage inventory of all steel materials, custom project materials, and steel shop and road tools
• Oversee maintenance and repairs for all steel shop tooling, equipment, and company vehicles
• Oversee maintenance and repair for all road tooling and equipment
• Oversee packing of every custom project including truck loading and unloading
• Administers company policies and procedures and ensures that staff adhere to such procedures
• Assists Production Manager in conducting steel shop employee performance reviews on a regular basis in order to help staff reach company and personal goals
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of steel shop operations
• Assures safe work practices within the steel shop facilities and conducts weekly safety meeting
• Facilitate an organized and clean working environment

Skills / Requirements
• 2+ years of management experience
• Experience managing crew sizes of 3 – 6
• 2+ years' experience in welding and general construction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and scheduling skills
• Ownership of basic tools and tool belt
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Ability to read blueprints and plans
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation and team orientation
• Ability to lift 50 -100 lbs and stand, squat, or kneel for 8-10 hours at a time
• Valid driver's license
