In order to be eligible for the Internship Program, the following qualifications must be met:

Be a U.S. citizen;

Be at least 16 years of age;

Be a student enrolled or accepted for enrollment as degree seeking student taking at least a half-time academic, technical, or vocational course load in an accredited technical, vocational, 2 or 4 year college or university, graduate or professional school.

Possess and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 scale.

*Above qualification requirements must be met at all times during the internship appointment or the appointment will be terminated.

An Intern serving in appointment under the Pathways program shall be equipped with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

GS-05

Applicants for the GS-05 grade level must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to scanning documents and saving to a database, extracting data in an automated system, processing basic routine personnel actions and answering routine HR related inquiries.

GS-06

Applicants for the GS-06 grade level must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to processing routine personnel and payroll actions, establishing recruitment opportunities, and answering routine HR related inquiries.


A combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the specialized experience requirement.

Only education from institutions which are accredited or preaccredited/candidate for accreditation may be used to meet education requirements.

GS-5

A BA/BS degree in any field or four years of education above the high school level. The education was obtained at an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college or university.

GS-6

As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5.

Internship Program

Be a student enrolled or accepted for enrollment as degree seeking students taking at least a half-time academic, technical, or vocational course load in an accredited technical, vocational, 2 or 4 year college or university, graduate or professional school;

Possess and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 scale;

Submit a copy of your official transcript.

All requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
