LARIMER - Two people who led deputies on a chase are in custody Saturday morning.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office says
they spotted a car with a fake license plate at around 1 a.m. Saturday morning at the Comfort Inn in Fort Collins.
Deputies ran the plates and discovered they were not real. When the deputy tried to get the driver out of the car, she took off.
This led law enforcement on a high speed chase that reached nearly 100-miles per hour.
Deputies say the man and woman inside the car started throwing stuff out the window.
Deputies had to use stop sticks and a pit maneuver to stop the car. Both the people were taken to the hospital.
The incident is still under investigation.
