Job Description
A local transportation company is seeking an experienced collections specialist to be responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, team oriented, hold strong time management skills, and express a sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities
• Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts.
• Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
• Resolves billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
• Identify and resolve all short pays in real time to minimize write offs on accounts.
• Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates.
• Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.
• Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports.
• Provide timely follow up on payment arrangements.
• Mail correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Provide documents to accounts and follow up.
• Work closely with factoring company to improve collection efforts.

Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of collections experience in the transportation industry a must.
• Ability to work independently, as team, and to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge and experience in TMW/ Truck Mate software a plus, but not required.
• Eager to learn new systems and procedures.

Must have verifiable references shop experience +
Factory training/MMI or apprenticeship equivalent
From Harley-Davidson to Vespa we repair and service a wide variety of engines and platforms from modern to classic and vintage including triumph, MOTO Guzzi, BMW H-D Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki Honda
Must pass background check
Have own tools
Be responsible, reliable and good with customers
No heavy drinkers. No drugs
